ARM® ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGER®

Certified and awarded by the prestigious INSTITUTE OF REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT® (IREM), the ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGER® (ARM) certification is selectively presented as a designation to distinguish a manager’s excellence in the industry. Those who hold the ARM certification find that the investment has elevated their career, personal growth, and respect within the industry. An ARM candidate must have verified 12 months of qualifying residential real estate management experience as defined by IREM (meeting portfolio size and functions minimums); complete Ethics for the Real Estate Manager (ETH800); pledge to uphold the IREM Code of Professional Ethics; pass the ARM certification exam; submit three Confidential Letters of Recommendation; and be interviewed and recommended for approval by their IREM Chapter.

CAPS Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor®

CAPS is the National Apartment Association (NAA)’s pinnacle certification for Multifamily Real Estate Managers. The course covers education on topics for:
• Client Services;
• Investment Management;
• Improving Asset Performance;
• Asset Evaluation;
• and Talent Development.

Additionally, the course interweaves many topics into the fabric of job for a Portfolio Supervisor, including ethics, market analysis, analyzing operational and financial reporting, renovation, disposition, and refinancing, and team leadership. CAPS Candidates who earn their designation are verified with a minimum of 24-months of on-site property management experience.


CAM Certified Apartment Manager

CAM Certified Apartment Manager

Awarded by the National Apartment Association (NAA) this is the best certification for you to earn if you primarily deal with apartment rentals. CAM candidates who earn their designation are verified with a minimum of 12-months of on-site property management experience. The program requires a series of eight CAM courses, including Management of Residential Issues, Legal Responsibilities, Human Resource Management, Fair Housing, Marketing, Property Maintenance for Managers, Risk Management, and Financial Management; finally, the candidate must pass a two-part required examination.
